When the husband goes away for work something dangerous happens. Shit I eat when i’m alone escalates and suddenly I’m knee deep in corn ships and theres brownies baking in the oven. It’s like a time lapse when no ones can see what I consume then it doesn’t count. Right? Except for this bloody blog post, i’d have it in the bag. As Senator Clay Davis would say, Sheeiiitt.
Screw it. 30 minutes and one dirty bowl later, this recipe will
destroy your healthy day change your life.
the best peanut brownies
Makes 8-12 squares
200g dark chocolate
175g salted butter
250g super fine caster sugar
130g plain flour
50g peanuts – optional
Preheat your oven to 170 and line and grease a baking tin.
Put the chocolate and butter in a heat proof bowl. Bring a pot of water to a simmer and place the bowl over the top, stirring until melted. Be sure the bottom of the bowl doesn’t touch the water.
Once melted and shiny, remove from the heat and stir in the sugar. Add flour until well mixed then one and a time and the eggs until you have a smooth, thick mixture.
Pour into the baking tin and bake for 30 minutes.
Chewy and fudgy & delish!
